Ruapotaka School was very lucky to be part of Manaiakalani Community because our school received an invitation to participate in the movie making to show off our amazing item. Our film is based on The Benefits of Rugby, and the title of our movie is 'Rugby Values.' Our movie was the third one to play on the big screen. We had two confident presenters; Vaimoana and Meafou. Our movie was display in Sylvia Park Hoyts Cinemas.

My favourite film was presented by the Point England school because half of the film was comedy. It was Finally time to go back to school  and we arrive back to school safely.

Term 4 Is Back From Holiday

jjjjj
"Welcome!" Mrs Vickers said, when we walked past her. Later on, I saw Jack, Pate, Min Zin and the rest of the boys playing our favourite sport, Basketball. As soon as I arrived to class, I dropped off my bag and quickly ran off to the Basketball Court and joined my friends with their Basketball game. While Dakbai and Pate were having an amazing battle, I was enjoying every moment of the game. This game just turned into WAR! After that, the school bell rang and all the seniors assembled in front of Room 11. We did our favorite fitness Zomba!! I had forgotten some of the moves but what are friends for.

Our Amazing Science Experiment

This week my friend and I are permanently working on a science experiment called Colour Changing.
Basically you have to use a strong cardboard and draw three perfect circles and then colour them in. When you finish the drawing it won't spin itself so you have to use a one meter string.

At this point you are ready. All you have to do is spin the circle as fast as you can or the experiment will sadly fail.
If you achieve your a spinning 90% it will work.  It depends on  how you let it go. If you let go in a right direction  it will work but if you do it in a wrong way don't even try. When you finish you will see the result of the changing colour.

πŸƒπŸƒCross Country πŸƒπŸƒ

Today is a big day for the year 7's and 8's because we had cross country for fitness and this is the most exhausting sport. We had to run two laps around the street and the finishing time depended on how fast you ran.

The lap will increase every next week for the year 8's and 7's.  It will be 4 laps and for the fast runners it will be at least 5 laps if they have time.

I was able to run on the first and the second day but I became sick and wasn't able to run any more but today I tried my best to run.

Hopefully I will get better and then I can run again.

πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰The Return Of Technicraft πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰

On Wednesday we had some changes at Tech about what we were going to do for Term 3. There were 3 classes and only 2 of them were available because there were a small number of people in Year 7's and 8's.
The two classes that were available were Glass and Graphics. The year eight's are doing Glass, so that meant  the year seven's were in the Graphics class.

Our teacher's name is Mr Grundy and he's a professional at doing stain glass and pewter. We will be working in this class for a pretty long time because our teacher
Mr Grundy told us that we are working with him for the next 13 more weeks.

For our first task we had to create a pattern for our Glass design and it was really hard thinking. The design that I choose was a car but it wasn't available because there were too many curves but luckily I had a second design and that is a boat.

πŸƒπŸƒOrienteering πŸƒπŸƒ

On Tuesday the year 8s and 7s had to do an activity called orienteering. Orienteering is about how good you are at reading maps. We lined up near the junior park to get our map and our clip card. When we received the two objects we all strolled off to our clippers. I was confused at the beginning but my friend and my teachers help me. Everybody got use to the map in a couple of minutes but I was still confused when the activity ended.
I enjoyed running around the school and clipping my paper.

😐😐 Ōur Ŝtunning Δ€ssembly 😐😐

On Friday 28th July, Ruapotaka School had an amazing assembly. We performed our entertaining items in front of the entire school.  There were different performances from different classes and the first class was Room 1, followed by Rooms 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, then it was finally our turn to show off our item.
I was really nervous when we all stood up and strolled to the stage because we were about to sing an amazing song called 'How Far I'll Go' by Alessia Cara.  All the students' opinion on the singing was negative but our teacher thought it was on point.
